Myna is a Mac app for people who ship software, not a web dashboard or a generic translation site. You plug in your own OpenAI key, keep translations and memory on your machine, and get clear quality signals on every string before you ship.
Connect your own OpenAI key and translate at cost. There are no plans or per word markups. You control spend from your OpenAI account and can switch models when you like.
Myna understands common app formats like XCStrings and App Store metadata. It respects plural forms, device and width variants, and keeps your file structure intact so you can drop results straight back into your project.
Every unit of text gets a score from 1 to 10 across accuracy, fluency, terminology, formatting, completeness, and cultural fit. You see which lines are safe to ship and which need a quick edit instead of guessing.
Set a minimum score you are comfortable with. If a unit falls below that line, Myna reuses the judge’s feedback to try again, up to three times. You keep control of the bar while the app does the boring retries.
Myna stores translation memory locally in a SQLite database. When the same sentence shows up again, it gets filled instantly. You save on API calls, keep phrasing consistent, and do not send the same text over the wire twice.
Define key terms once and reuse them everywhere. Add product names, UI labels, and domain terms, with notes per language. Myna feeds this into every request so core phrases stay stable across features and releases.
Myna wraps a full translation pipeline into a simple five step flow you can run for every release. Add your files, choose languages, let the engine run, review the few risky strings, then export and ship.
Drop local files into Myna or use the file picker. Supported formats include .txt, .md, .xcstrings, App Store metadata, and XLIFF. You see file sizes and a quick preview before you start.
Select from 36 languages, including regional variants like Spanish for Spain or Mexico, French for France or Canada, and Chinese simplified or traditional. Use quick presets to target common sets in one click.
Start the run and watch progress per file, language, and unit. Myna streams work in parallel batches, injects your glossary, reuses translation memory, and scores each unit with an AI judge. Units below your score threshold are retried automatically.
Use the review screen to focus only on what needs attention. Filter by low score, see back translations and reasoning, and edit source or target text when needed. When you are happy, export back to disk, push to App Store Connect, or hand off to your team in the original formats.
